Easter dinner: what am I forgetting?

You know how you go to the fridge to get the whip cream for dessert and you always find the pickle plate you forgot to put out? I'm feeling that way. What 'must have' am I missing?

Keeping it simple - lots of kids and not a lot of money:

hashbrown casserole
spinach salad
squash sweet potato puree
cheese bread
pickle plate
deviled eggs

What? I feel like there is a "gasp you aren't serving ....?" in there somewhere?

  1. amazingly similiar to our menu - we are making smahed peas with mint and some cornbread - but i think you need some yellow peeps!! and few chocolate eggs!! enjoy.

    1. Drop a few whole/peeled hard boiled eggs into a jar of pickled beats and let them soak for a day or two. Then include those (sliced or quartered) on your spinach salad. Nice festive color for the holiday with the yellow yolk and died red egg white.

      1. I can't see that you're missing anything...

        1. The only thing I can see is perhaps a mint iced tea to go with it.
