Ramen - Weho/BevCen/Fairfax

I just moved near the Grove and while I love it.. i miss SANTOUKA... but it's a bit far now to be my new go-to ramen joint. Any ideas? I've tried Yabu, which is fine, but its just a bit pricey for what you get and I'm looking for a 2-3 times a week place.

any thoughts?

Sadly, those areas of LA are noodle-denuded. No mein to mainline.
But, nearby, things are definitely moving in the proper, slurpy, direction:
A fine, fine branch of Ajisen Ramen just opened in the Westfield CC Mall.
As for Pho -- not that you asked but bsquared2 noodled it into the post -- 90210 Pho in Beverly Hills is quite good.

Actually we take the #3 bus straight to. :D

And Santouka is still closer... ;)

Anyway, no worries, I'm still holding out hope that the vietnamese place in the Culver City food court going in is going to be decent (hope...hope... hope...)

Mishima, on Third Street just east of La Cienega is the only thing even close to ramen in the area. Their hot noodle soups are made with seaweed broth and soy sauce.

I don't think Yabu has Ramen. Haven't been to Mishima in years since the last time I went it was Meh. Plus, I don't think they serve Ramen.

I haven't had good Ramen at any place in those areas. Santouka in Culver City is the closest. Or Shin Sen Gumi in either Gardena or Monterey Park. Daikokuya downtown is good, but always a crazy line so I don't go there very often.

Sorry. And please don't ask about good Pho joints in the 310 either. There aren't any.

There is good pho in the South Bay, which is 310.

To the OP: I think you're a bit closer to Gardena/Torrance than I am - I drive 15-20 miles almost every week for ramen. But traffic is worse where you are. :-/ But IMHO there's little reason to go anywhere else.
