Need Ideas for East Bay Event

The Dive Apr 1, 2010 11:31 AM

Looking for a location to rent out for approximately 80-100 guests on a Saturday night. Would prefer a place that has both food and drink, but would consider a drinks-only place that would allow food to be brought in. Requirements include good beer and the ability to have live music. Was thinking of Luka’s, but unsure whether we could fit in the lounge area and/or they would allow a buy-out on a Saturday night. I think Jupiter would work too, but I don’t really like their beer and food. Any ideas?

How about Templebar Tiki Bar and Grill? You definitely can have live music there. Only problem is that they might not have beer, just cocktails. However, I know they're very flexible about allowing outside food, so they might be okay about beer, too.

Templebar has beer but I don't think the space can hold 100 people.

They allow 40-90. 90 would be pushing it, though.

By the way, we ended up at Pacific Coast with a slightly smaller crowd -- they gave us the front room and patio. Good spot for a party.
