Dinner with 19 year old?

Giggling Gourmand Apr 1, 2010 10:42 AM

My boyfriend's mom and brother will be in DC this weekend. We're looking for a restaurant that will be nice but that a 19 year old college student will still enjoy and consider a treat. Any suggestions? I don't think he's a picky eater, but I don't think he's super adventurous either.

Johnny's. Gives an opp to walk around the Capitol, mall and/or Union Station.

I'd look into eating outside at CoCo Sala.

You don't say price range or location so here are some ideas: Acadiana, Central, Zentan (especially since it is best served family style), Rays the Steaks (or Classics), Filomena or Ceiba.

Zaytinya? It's cool, but they have the flatbreads that are like pizza and other stuff that is pretty tame. Or Poste, especially if you can eat outside it has a nice vibe. Or Zola, I always have thought that it was fun.

Or Siroc perhaps? Italian is always approachable.

Thanks. I has thought of Zaytinya but it's fully booked. I think we may do Poste for lunch so we can sit outside.
