Sadly, Gator Thompson closed his Dollie Marie restaurant in San Mateo. I commiserated with Gator and he told me what's up: "So with that said I will be the head chef in San Jose at Agenda Lounge starting April 1st.

"I will be bringing my healthy southern-style to the South Bay without the
headache of being the owner."

I picked up a postcard at Coffee Bar this morning saying that Gator is catering a non-vehicular "tailgate" at Jelly's on Pier 50 for the Giants opening day this Friday, 4/9. This matches what Gator was saying when I ate there a few weeks ago. I look forward to seeing what he is up to at Agenda. Food of Gator's quality is desparately needed in downtown San Jose!
