Best Boston Fancy Lunch

Looking for a fancy lunch spot downtown for this Friday. It has to be lunch- no baby sitter available for the evening. Does No. 9 Park do lunch? Lockober? Thanks in advance for your suggestions!

Beacon Hill Bistro does a really nice lunch as well. Great atmosphere, and classic food. One of my favorite lunch spots in the city!

Scampo would be my choice. Not necessarily Locke Ober fancy, but certainly spendy. Felt like a splurge to me.

Doesn't have to be L'Espalier fancy...perhaps just very tasty and very nice. Thanks to all!

Take a look at Via Matta - I have always had good lunches there (three times in past two years).
In the past month, I have had lunch twice at Bistro du Midi and on the bases of those lunches, I am (a) bringing my out of town sister here this evening and (b) adding this to my top three places in Boston.

Second on Via Matta. Upscale casual with outdoor seating. I usually get the Chicken Milanese.

        L'Espalier is pretty much it.

Some of the better restaurants in the Park Square area offer lunch. I like Davios in that area; Avila and Via Matta are also good. The Bristol Lounge at the Four Seasons would work as well as the Cafe at the Taj.

Radius does lunch. You might run into a bit of a business crowd, but the service is great. Still, I'd go for L'Espalier.

I'm pretty sure No. 9 and Locke-Ober no longer do lunch (except L-O did for Restaurant Week). Since you specified "fancy," I'd suggest L'Espalier.

Oops youre right- Locke Ober doesnt do lunch normally. I kept seeing emails for it- but was for RW. My apologies.

No 9 only does lunch during the holiday season- aside from a monthly "ladies who lunch" series that they put on. Lock Ober does lunch. Also- L'espalier and Sel de la Terre have lunch menus as well.
