Thoughts on Pesos?

Went to Pesos a couple of weekends back and enjoyed outselves, although I felt like they just missed the mark a little when my carnitas were a bit over fried and dried out. Other then that, the rest of the meal was fabulous.

What has been everyone else's experience?

El Mestizo has been pretty good of late. Especially excellent beverages.

"GourMex" suggests a high bar, so I hesitate, but we've had revelatory meals (as well as, distinctly, not) at Senor Moose, 5242 Leary Ave NW, and Cocina Esperanza, 3127 Northwest 85th St, where specials can rock. Close, comfortable, and satisfying, we enjoy Tacos Guaymas. too. Their Ceviche, was my first. This led to Uwajimaya for a slab of exquisitely fresh snapper, and a permanent berth in the menu of the house

I had a really tasty carne asada and eggs there a while back. Have returned, but it hasn't ever been as good as that one time. Hate the loud club music and 'tude from servers.

I've only ever eaten breakfast there. Its good and we go back every few months but never as good as I think it should be..
