Eva Sunday Night Dinner rocks

Went with friends to Eva's sunday night dinner last night. It was terrific and also a terrific value. 4 courses, and wine (as much as you can drink) for 35 dollars. Last night it was an iceberg wedge with green goddess, very good, then an out of this world Chicken Paillard, followed by an incredibly moist and flavorful roulade of veal and finally donuts. The wine choices were very tasty. We all loved it.

  1. I'm glad to hear something positive about Eva - the reports on this board were so dismal, and it made me sad because I really liked that space when it was Hatfield. AYCD wine? I've never heard of such a thing!

    1. It sure does. It's easily one of the best values in the city and such a great unique experience. I was so confused about how the wine was going to work, but then our waitress told us that we can drink as much wine as we want. Also, you can ask for seconds on the food if you want more!!!

      When I went, Mark Gold was out and about joking with the diners and later on in the night, he had a fresh delicious grapefruit and was cutting slices to diners with a pocket knife!!

      I can't wait to go back.

          yes, every Sunday. Lucques also has it, as do other places on Mondays. Here, as opposed to Lucques, there are no choices. You just eat what they serve. So if they'd had salmon as a course (I am allergic), I'd have missed a course. But they have 4 courses, it is a lot of food, and you can ask for seconds (we did on the second course). As with Tailback's experience, Mark Gold was out front most of the time having an absolute ball with the tables. We had a lot of fun.

              The regular menu for the rest of the week is reasonably priced and well executed as well. Mark Gold the chef is definitely having fun and he constantly works the dining room to make sure everyone is happy and satisfied. Had several very good meals since it opened last September.
