After hiking at Taqhuitz Canyon we went to Sherman's Deli & Bakery for lunch. It was pretty busy on the outside patio, but we wanted to eat inside and didn't have to wait for a table. We got a booth instead of a table.

It's a Kosher-style family restaurant. They have this location and one in Palm Desert, CA.

FREE pickles w/ sauerkraut were brought to the table. I thought they tasted ok.

I got a small chicken matzo ball soup $4.95 - very nice. Huge matzo ball in the soup! Crackers given on the side.

B. got a Borcht-style soup $4.95 small - he liked it. He said it was cool, sweet & refreshing. Crackers given on the side.

I got a NY-style pastrami sandwich on sourdough $10.95. I don't like rye bread. Just meat and bread. Thought it was ok. Small side of coleslaw is good!

B. got a corned beef & beef tongue sandwich $13.25 which was Tasty and HUGE! I recommend that sandwich. Small side of coleslaw is good!

Credit cards taken.

Many celebrities have eaten there, there's pics and some signed on the walls.

Recommended.
