EarthFare for organic - read their food philosophy. There is NO corn syrup in Earthfare, amazing. Earthfare South Park has a short order grill, their sandwiches are delish, you can upgrade your burger to buffalo for $1. Hand cut sweet potato and french fries. YUMMY.
About food, here are a few of my favorites. Not all South CLT, but not too far and worth the journey.
Vietnam Grille on South Blvd. CLT loves Lang Van, try both.Thai, Siam Garden, way out Tryon, near the Wal Mart (Arrowood) crazy location, great food.
The Penguin is a must, great burgers and hot dogs. My favorite items there sauerkraut/bacon dog, corn dog, pimento cheese hot dog. They also have the best bloody marys. Go on off times or stand in line.Genaro's in Pineville is a recently opened Peruvian restaurant. They have rotisserie chicken sandwiches with onion, tomato, lettuce and avocado on french bread. I crave these sandwiches. They also do a dish sauteed beef with onions and french fries in broth. Very inexpensive and a great find.
Favorite restaurant Mexican... for sitting outside grabbing something good instead of fast food, Phat Burrito. Authentic La Casa de la Enchilada on Central. For a lunch or dinner with company, I like to go to Cantina 1511- outdoor patio, decent drinks. I always get the pork soft tacos.
One more take away place on South Blvd & Archdale, on the corner in the shopping center, I can't think of the name, but it is only a counter, no tables. I love getting soft tacos at this little dive.

Not sure why you're shouting but there are a lot of threads with recs for both Mexican and all manner of Asian in or near South Charlotte. Central Avenue isn't far from you and has lots of both. Likewise, South Boulevard has plenty of both. Bangkoko Ocha, Cantina 1511, Thai Orchid, Fresh Market are all in South Charlotte. Welcome!

re: BDM1
You're so smart, BDM1. Great suggestion.
Also in South Charlotte/Ballantyne is the Meeting St. Farmers Market at the corner of Ardrey Kell & Marvin Roads. Season 2 opens May 4th. It's Tuesday from 4pm until sundown, if I remember correctly.

re: Dnanana
+1 for Senor Tequila, Bangkok Ocha and JoJo China Bistro recs. Also, organic groceries are plentiful at Earthfare on Johnston Rd @ I-485. Also, Fresh Market on Hwy 51 @ Carmel Rd.
You wouldn't happen to be the owner of the new Thai restaurant in Blakeney, would you? Just asking b/c I saw they just opened. Either way, welcome to Charlotte.

Do a search on here for restaurant suggestions...for mexican try La Unica on South Blvd, Azteca on Woodlawn. For asian try Thai Taste on East Blvd. and Saigon Palace on South Blvd. I don't buy organic groceries, but have you tried Trader Joe's, Fresh Market or Earthfare?
