Peychaud's Bitters

anyone know where I can pick some up? I tried Marty's in Newton and they looked at me like I had three heads.

  1. Really? Weird, I know that I've seen them there, although admittedly I haven't looked at their bitters selection recently.

Regardless, my current bottle of Peychaud's bitters came from Boston Shaker in Davis Square.

They had bottles when I was there on Saturday. Pleasantly surprised that there are so many options these days -- I had to have a bottle mailed to me to get some a few years ago...

    2. They also have them at Liquor World in Porter Square (at least, they had them last Friday).

      1. Definitely weird - they always have them at Federal Wines and Liquors, and I'm pretty sure Brix has them, too. I'd ask someone else next time you're at Marty's.

        1. Are you sure the issue at Marty's wasn't a problem of pronunciation? Like, the guy you asked had never heard the word pronounced and was thinking "Gee, we have these things called Pee-Chaweds bitters, but I never hearda no Pay-Show's bitters before..."?

          1. Both Cirace and The Wild Duck in the North End carry it.

            1. Blanchard's in Allston and Martignetti's on Soldiers Field Road. Also, Shaw's at Prudential had some last time I looked.

              1. I've bought them at Brix in the South End.

                1. Curious, since they are pretty standard in any decent liquor store. Maybe the Angostura Bitters shortage is having a knock-on effect on Peychaud's...

                  1. I beleive I saw some at Bin Ends in Braintree.
