Its not just a purple basil?

Oh, if there's micro purple basil, that must be it. Since the leaves were so small, I didn't think of it. Thanks!

I think it s red amaranth
I grow from seedling and harvest at micro stage about 10 days as I recall. Purple basil not as pointy and deeper in color...although who knows on ones monitor. The amaranth is brighter then the basil when at early stage.

I think it's this... micro bull's blood - usually sold as a microgreen/garnish rather than an herbhttp://sidwainer.com/shopexd.asp?... - although it also looks like micro amaranth

Oh, you're right, it really looks like amaranth! I couldn't really taste it so I can't judge by that.
Hmm...
