Cheese shops

Hello all,

I'm going to be in Gatineau next week and I'm wondering if there are any specialy food shops I should make a point of visiting. I'm particularly interested in finding cheese shops, I will be in Quebec after all!

Any thoughts and suggestions would be appreciated!

merci!

Right across the street from the Promenades shopping mall there is a little cheese shop La Trappe a Fromage

I recommend you go to Ottawa (ask on the Ontario board). Gatineau does precious little better save "bar danseuses" and car dealerships.

I have no clue where Gatineau is, but, i just found something very interesting last week and thought i would share. Quebec cheese producers now have an online map for use if you want to go on a cheese tour. Here is the english website:

Gatineau is the city created in 2002 by the forced merger of Hull, Aylmer, Buckingham, Gatineau, etc. Just across the river from Ottawa.
