Is Obrycki's still good?

I was surprised that I didn't see Obrycki's mentioned as having some of the best crab cakes in Baltimore. What are the best spots for crab cakes?

I always thought Obrycki's reputation was for hard shells, not for cakes.

Crab cakes in B-More has been discussed here B4..A quick search will reveal this to you! Most said though, either Faidley's, Pappas, Kocos, Dudas and GM/Timbuktu/Olive Grove fwiw.

Obrycki's to me is for touristy beginners. Go to Yelp and you'll find tons of comments like "This is the best crabs and crabcakes ever, I even learned how to eat them" type of stuff. The service is not very good, they tried to pass off reheated crabs to me which is not cool at their terribly high prices. Imagine going to Morton's and have a reheated steak? Don't think even Micky Dees would do that. I have to give credit to their crab cakes. They taste pretty good. But you can get the same tasty cakes, same price, except four to six times bigger at Faidleys, Timbuktu, Gunnings...etc. Just look around the board. They are just not as touristy.

Good question. When all I knew was Bethesda crab house, Obrycki's was a good find.
