Hi All!
I'm from out of town trying to plan a rehearsal dinner spot for about 35 people, laid back casual near jackson square. I have a couple ideas, chartres house and a couple other places but I would greatly appreciate some help!

I would be hesitant about Chartres House, as it's pretty much a tourist trap. But I can see the trouble with finding a casual spot for dinner near Jackson Square. What is your budget? I think you could probably get a private room at Murial's with their cheapest set menu for about the same as someplace like Chartres House. Maybe not...still, there must be much better options out there. I just can't think of anything right off the top of my head.

Napoleon House is the perfect spot.

Well I guess I should be more specific somewhere within walking distance would be great not really sure about budget, nothing huge though my mother-in-law to be is paying for it and I want it to be gentle on their wallet

You might want to look into GW Fins, only some blocks from Jackson Square, and IIRC, their private room hold 40. Logically priced, great local seafood, and a good wine list.

          Good luck,
