Where can I find raw horseradish in SF?

The store-bought, prepared stuff is usually kinda weak, and I'm at a loss of where to go to get raw horseradish to make ourselves. Any info will be greatly appreciated. TIA

  1. I get my roots at 22nd and Irving.

    1. Knoll (TAIRWA) at Ferry Plaza Farmer's Market usually has roots.

They have them now -- I bought horseradish this morning.

      2. Whole Foods has horseradish roots too.

Which one? I went to the 4th and Harrison location and they didn't have any.

The 4th and Harrison one definitely has it. It's in the produce section next to the radishes (was there today).

Good to know. The guy I asked told me they didn't have any, but now I know where to look. Thanks!

Today it was near the kale. The parsnips were near the radishes.

            1. Mollie Stone's usually has it this time of year. I've gotten it at Whole Foods in the past. Think I saw some at the 24th Street store.
