Surprised it took 7 responses to come to Cafe Latte--but at least it used to be a destination breakfast place, which roasts its own coffee. It had great french toast, egg dishes, coffee drinks and fresh squeezed oj. It has gone thorugh some ownership shifts in recent years, but, it used to be awesome, and i imagine that would still serve your needs quite well.

Last time I went to Caffe Latte, the food was terrible.
I love these questions. They are so specific. The best breakfast place on the corner of Wilshire and Crescent Heights might be Wahoo's Fish Tacos or McDonalds. If you count the option of driving, I would go to Toast or Farmer's Market. If you want to drive a little bit, I would have something at Maison Du Pain on Pico. I LOVE that bakery.

Hello! Caffe Latte (as suggested by New Trial) is not a throw away suggestion. Yes, it's in a strip mall, but it's a pretty high quality breakfast destination. Not fancy at all. But comfortable. And some very respectable breakfast action. And it's on the corner you're talking about.
If you need a fancier place to bring business associates, then no, this probably isn't it. But if you just want a good breakfast spot, very close...

Depends on your definition of walking distance, but Mani's on Fairfax is the closest one that's not a low-end ham-n-cheese joint. If you don't mind walking up to 3rd street, that expands your options quite a bit. Toast or Little Next Door would be the most direct. Not sure if you're saying that you want to have a business breakfast or that the business is separate.

re: honkman
There's really nothing there, especially for breakfast. Your only other choice would be something in the strip mall where Wahoo's is, or a few ham-n-cheese joints nearby, or McDonalds. If Mani's is too far then at that point I'd suggest driving in the vicinity, which opens options tremendously. But Mani's is good, if you can swing it.
