  1. Although both are well regarded on this board, my experience has only been with Soho. It is a very good restaurant and it should definitely meet your needs. Here is a link to their current Menu - http://www.sohoongeorgest.com/menus.htm
    Good Luck.

    1. We've enjoyed both on multiple occasions and either would be a good choice for your dinner.

I'd say Due Mari is a tick ahead of Soho in our book due to their excellent fresh pastas, wider variety of fish selections and the overall ambiance. Full disclosure if you're looking at the older Due Mari thread on here ... we had some major service issues while there for our 1st visit but the cuisine drew us back. Happy to report the service since, has been absolutely great. Enjoy.

I'd pick Due Mari over Soho as well. Due Mari's food and ambiance, as mentioned above, is far superior to Soho. I've been a number of times and have enjoyed every meal and have never had a service issue.

      2. Has SoHo improved? I'm going back a few years, but we were so impressed by the place the first time we were there, we went back several months later with the family, and it was a disaster. I asked the manager if there had been a change in the kitchen, he pretended that I was asking about the changes in the menu. We vowed never to return.

        1. As others have chimed in, either one will suit your needs, but based on recent visits to both restaurants, I'd opt for DuMari. Service is far better than what you'll receive at SoHo and they are very adept at handling a small/large gathering based on a 'Tastings Event' that a vendor ran over the winter with their service and food being impeccable that evening.

Dined there earlier this week (for lunch) as well. A terrific spot.

SOHO has always been uneven. I have not had a bad meal at Due Mari

I give the nod to Due Mari and Chef Alex

            1. As stated in another thread, sadly Soho recently closed. Soho was one of our favorites. Due Mari is good, but the chairs are sort of uncomfortable and the tables feel like they are too close together. I hope they fix this since we will probably be going there more now.
