Authentic Sichuan Food in Manhattan
I just came back from Hong Kong - and unfortunately I didn't get enough time to sample a lot of Sichuan food which was top on my agenda.
The only thing I had was the Tan Tan Mian noodles in a peanut sauce/soup. At that point I found it a little too hot (And I do have a decent appetite for spice) and so I couldn't get to the bottom of it.
But know I am craving the left-over soup. I really need to find that soup here in NYC.
Also, the other thing I didn't get a chance to have was the hot pot with the sichuan peppers. Any good place to try that?

I haven't had hot pots at NY SIchuan restaurants, so I'm not sure about the version you're looking for, but Lan Sheng on 39th and the place at 10 Pell (name escapes me) both seem to specialize in hot pots.
