Weight of KA, Cuisinart and Bamix immersion blenders

My Braun was superlight. I picked up a Kitchenaid at Target and nearly had a stroke. It was as heavy as the Bamix. I tried the much cheaper Cuisinart but the business end had been removed from the store.

Has anyone had experience with these and are as weak as I am?

I read that post which is what scared me. However, I can't find a weight for the Kitchenaid!

I have a KA -- I don't have a problem with the weight, but I would not call it "lightweight".
Definitely a try before you buy item. Make sure you like the shape and texture of the grip, position of on/off switch and power setting dial, and overall balance (balance is as important as weight.)

Remember that you need to be able to hold it so that the metal blade guard isn't skittering off the bottom of your nice cookware; you will want to be able to adjust power while the unit is running (slow at first, then cranking up the speed as things become manageable).
