Donut Plant is heavenly!! I've never been a huge donut fan, but you will dream about them - especially the jelly donuts with the jelly on the outside and dulce de leche...mmmm!

How casual is "casual" for you? Sandwiches? A sit-down spot?

Lamazou, on 3rd near 27th, has delicious sandwiches. Take-out only. Photos of our favorite sandwich: http://www.flickr.com/photos/11863391@N03/sets/72157623484368930/

And for one of the best pastrami sandwiches in town, there's Sarge's, on 3rd, b/t 36th & 37th.

Baoguette & Thai Noodle recently opened on Third.

The bar area at Maialino is a wonderful casual setting, and the food's delicious!

'inoteca Gramercy, on the corner of 3rd & 24th, is another excellent casual spot.
