Inexpensive caterers in Chicago for 2010

Can people recommend inexpensive caterers that can handle about 200 people in downtown Chicago? It's for a buffet dinner for a social event.

Sorry if this question was asked before. The latest time I saw it asked was in 2004.

Thank you in advance for any advice.

There is an amazing new Caterer called the Couture caterer 8474560745 she just did a party at solo salon on madison in the city amazing food and they were even dressed the part the party was themed alice in wonderland ; I've never had such amazing catered food. I herd they are very reasonable too. Good luck.

I have hosted a few events and had good experience with Michael's. I think they're out of Morton Grove. Their menu of choices is vast, they will provide as much service as you want or don't want, they'll provide steam tables, setup, accessories if you need them, they have servers, bartenders, as much staff as you need. Their prices are fair.

They delivered a Cajun buffet for me for 30 people, delicious, another time, an Italian buffet. They have specialized menus for all the religious holidays. A woman who told me that she's tried every caterer in Chicago, said that Michael's is the best. I found them to be courteous, prompt, never a snafu or disconnect.

Much of what they do is discussed on their website. www.cateringbymichaels.com
