Midcoast Asian Foods already closed!

Sadly, it appears that this great little Thai place has already closed. Does anyone know what happened?

From the April issue of Maine. The Magazine: "If you’re going for home-cooked Thai food, check out Mid Coast Asian Foods in Rockland. It’s been around a while, but now you won’t need a jacket inside this delicious, unheated hole-in-the-wall..."

These guys have to re-open, in a new space, and with a [silent] partner who knows the business side of things.

That's what I think, too. They need an investor. I hope they do come back; we were eating there weekly!

Somebody said they posted their email address on the "goodbye" note. Does somebody reading this thread have it?

I went by to get it for you after your request a week or two ago, but the notice has been taken down.
Perhaps someone had better sense than I and copied it down when they first saw it?

I'm afraid I have no more information than you, but I thought I'd chime in with my disappointment. I pulled up just the other day and was dismayed to see the sign on the door stating something along the lines of "due to hard times we've had to close our doors" along with an email address to contact them.

Extremely disappointed. They had some of the best Thai food north of Boston...always fresh...always consistently tasty. I think they had two fatal flaws -- no marketing skills whatsoever and a horrible location. Man..I feel like starting a petition drive to get them back in business...maybe somewhere on Main St. Does anybody have an email contact? Was that on their "farewell" sign???

They were more than a year behind on their rent.

they were there for over 2 years, 1 year setting up.

I think it proves my point...no marketing skills / bad location. How could they have been there two years and nobody knew. I only found out a few months ago from a friend....
