Best Sabich in Jerusalem?

Katiecake Mar 24, 2010 01:43 PM

I have recently moved from afar to Jerusalem, and have been desperate to sample some local Sabich. Can anyone recommend me a delicious hot spot where I can find the best pita/ aubergine/ eggy combo?

Also, is there anywhere in Jerusalem to eat good Vietnamese?

Gracias Amigos!

If you find anything in Jerusalem that resembles Vietnamese or Thai, please share! Ryu on Emek does a decent generic Asian fusion but it's on the pricey side. There's River Noodle bar off of Hillel Street, but I've never eaten there. Aside from that there are decent Chinese and Japanese options, but that's all I know of.

I don't know about Jerusalem, but if you ever come to Tel Aviv, the place at the corner of Dizengoff and Frishman is well known for it's sabich. It's right next to an equally popular felafel stand, so make sure you wait in the right line.
Ibn Gvirol near the municipality is lined with little street food type places, including several selling sabich.
