Looking for good cheap eats within walking distance of Back Bay station

Having an impromptu girls' night out & am looking for suggestions that go light on the wallet but still make the taste buds happy. We will be on foot for the evening. Any ideas?

Within walking distance is Picco, a South End thin-crust pizza restaurant with a good beer selection and homemade ice cream. There were recent postings raving about their calzones. Also nearby is Addis Red Sea, an Ethopian restaurant I have been meaning to revisit after a few years. I wouldn't call either restaurant cheap but I would certainly not call them expensive.

You can also go to Laurel, which is an attractive space with standard American (comfort)food. It may be a little above your price range.

Love Coda but it may be too pricey.

Apps and cocktails at Brasserie Jo are always fun.

I second the Delux as pretty cheap and def. fun.

What about Delux Cafe? Just a few blocks away at Clarendon and Chandler. Although it's been a while since I've eaten there, I recall it being quite good and definitely cheap. They might not take credit cards, I'm not sure.

Nearby places that qualify as a night out destination include Coda on Columbus Ave. near Dartmouth. It has good food and reasonable prices. Also in the area is Six Burner on Dartmouth across from Back Bay Station. This place is new (same owners ran the previous plave called Firefly) and I have not tried it yet.

B. Good is right next door on Dartmouth. They focus on healthy 'real' food. Burgers, Chicken Sandwiches, shakes and salads. When I don't have anything ready to make for dinner, that is our go to place. We eat there more than I'd like to admit :-)
