Bathurst and College
Easily done. There's Negroni on College west of Bathurst, Caplansky's, College and Brunswick, Big Fat Burrito on Augusta south of College, La Tortilleria on Wales in Kensington, the kitchen in the back of Perola's on Augusta, Bitondo's for pizza, Clinton south of College, California Sandwiches on Claremont and finally, there's Churrasqueira do Sardinha on College at Montrose.

There's quite a few choices not too far away.
-California Sandwiches as mentioned above, my personal favourite :). I'm a carnivore but their eggplant sandwich is my favourite. I want to try the chicken w/ eggplant. At any rate, for between $6-8 you're going to get a huge veal, chicken, steak, or eggplant sandwich.
-Burrito Boyz is about a 3 minute walk west; $6-10 for various burritos or quesadillas
-If you have a bit of time, two major streets south at Queen & Bathurst is Gandhi Roti which, IMO, has some of the best roti in the city (indian style, not Caribbean). Its about $7-13 per roti IIRC.
the Original California Sandwhiches is not too far away at 244 Claremont Street - good veal sandwhich. Caplansky's and Free Times Cafe (both good smoked meat, I prefer Free Times) are closer to Spadina and college but also good options.

You're also a short walk to Kensington Market where there are many options. Do a search on here and you'll find a ton of reccos. Also, there's the Fish Store further west on College that makes excellent fish sandwiches.

Negroni for wonderful panini. Comes with a small, but lovely salad. Great meal for $10 - $12. Or skip the panini and order whatever homemade soup they've got that day and one of the small plates.
Aunties and Uncles is nearby on Lippincott, too.
