Any Ideas How?

Hi folks. I've always wondered how to unmold a flan / creme caramel so cleanly. and everywhere I look says to run a knive along the side. This is relevant when the flan mold is circular. But what if it isn't circular. Just like this:

Any ideas how the flan in this picture was unmolded?

  1. Run a needle then dip the bottom of the mold in some hot water.
