Japanese markets

Does anyone know of a strictly Japanese market in the SFV? I live in west valley and have to go to Sawtelle for J. groceries. I spoke with someone who thought there was a J market in Northridge? I know of 99Ranch, etc. I want Japanese.
thanks

  1. i don't know this place but it came up on google:

    E & E Japanese Market
    (818) 576-9919
    18441 Nordhoff St
    Northridge, CA 91325

    1. The cute little minimart across from CSUN is closed.
There used to be a tiny Jpnz market on Woodman in Arleta. That closed down years ago.
That leaves us with with GALLERIA MARKET on Reseda and Nordhoff. Yeah, yeah, you said you wanted exclusively Japanese, Labs. But that will be less and less a reality as the Japanese American community continues to assimillate and shrink out of existence. Anyway, Korean markets have imported Japanese foodstuffs about 20 percent cheaper than say Miriwa or Nijiya or even Marukai in the remaining Nikkei enclaves of Gardena/Torrance and OC.

      1. There used to be a tiny one in the mini-plaza at the corner of Sherman Way and Shoup that has Nico's Restaurant (across the street from the Ralphs that used to be Hughes)

I think this is it, but I don't know if it's still there:
        GO'S MARKET

        (818) 704-1459
22330 Sherman Way Ste. C-12, Canoga Park, CA 91303

Go's Mart hasn't been a market for some time; it is a sush-ya.
