ISO Organic or Non-Waxed Limes

Hi,

Has anyone seen organic limes recently? The shops near me all seem to have organic lemons, avocadoes, bananas, all sorts of fruit but not limes.

I'm planning to use the zest to infuse, so I'd rather avoid all that wax. I'm in Etobicoke but willing to drive.

For lemons or limes? Last time I checked there they didn't have organic limes, but that was a while ago now.

Can you tell me where you are finding the organic lemons please?

        Thanks

          Hi,

I'm able to find organic lemons at the larger Sobey's out near my place (Queensway one) in the organic section. Last time I was looking for some though (a few weeks ago now), they were all out. Maybe there was a shipment issue?

I saw some at 4 Life Organics in Kensington yesterday.

I have not checked, but I'm sure you will find them at the Big Carrot.

For anyone looking, The Big Carrot unfortunately doesn't carry organic limes.

I've been travelling so haven't made it to the others yet, but thanks again for the suggestions. I'm hoping to make it there this week-end.

I'll have a look at the Pape IGA for you, I don't usually look in the organic section but I thought I saw limes there in the past.

Pretty sure I've seen them at The Sweet Potato on Dundas just west of Keele. Might want to give them a call.

If you're up for a drive downtown, the organic veggie store on the lower level of the St. Lawrence Market had organic limes a few weeks back. I noticed they were smaller than the "normal" limes.

Strike out on the St-Lawrence market, unfortunately. The basket was specifically marked non-organic.

Does anyone know why organic limes are so hard to find? Other organic citrus doesn't seem to be so difficult.
