I went to the above restaurant on Sunday and it was closed, shuttered. No sign why. Anyone know anything about it?

TIA

Oh no! I hope not. Expansion of that Apotheke place?

Ahh! I just called and the number is out of service. I was just there a few weeks ago and they seemed to be doing pretty good business.

Don't know this for sure, because Doyers was downstairs, so they could be taking a separate space BUT, looks like this could be becoming a pricey Pulqueria:

"The owners of high end, pricey but gorgeous Doyer St. cocktail lounge Apotheke were greenlit for their proposed Pulqueria on 11 Doyers. The place will be fashioned after the traditional Mexican restaurants for which it takes its name, serving up tacos, drinks, and one would assume pulque in a restaurant setting. Update: The pulqueria will be opened by parties behind Apotheke and Burger Shoppe in FiDi but will not involve Albert Trummer and his cocktails."

I have been wanting to get pulque in the city, but I don't want to spend $14 for it (well, maybe $14 for a whole bucket for the table in a Mexico City dive), and I already miss Doyer's papaya salad with beef.
