Recommendations for lunch with mom after spa?

Bringing my mom into Manhattan (from CT) for a spa morning, lunch and shopping. I'm looking for a nice, sit down lunch place in mid-town or west village. $$$ not an issue. ANy reocmmendations?

The restaurant at The Plaza is very nice, there is also The Boathouse in Central Park which is classy and has beautiful views of Central Park. Le Bernardin is another consideration, we had a fantastic dinner there this past Nov. when we visited NYC for the first time. :)

I know it doesn't meet your requirments (and I usually hate making suggestions outside of people's parameters) but you should look at Jean George (the dining room, not Nougatine). Based on the quality of the meal this is the best lunch deal in the city).

I would definitely recommend lunch at The Modern after a morning at the spa.
