Good Banh Xeo in PDX?
I recently started making banh xeo, and I'm looking for some good places to try so I can use them as a reference for my own experimentation and a standard to which to aspire. My recipes are coming from Nguyen's "Into the Vietnamese Kitchen," and Danhi's "Southeast Asian Flavors."

The best place for them closed a few years ago, but you can get a pretty good version at Pho Nguyen in Beaverton. I like the bun mang vit here, too, if you're looking for something beyond just a sizzling crepe.

Thanks for the recommendation. I'll get out to Pho Nguyen this weekend. And yes, my interest in SE Asian food goes way far beyond sizzling crepes. Those are simply what I happen to be working on learning how to make at this point in time.

While I've never had it, banh xeo shows up on the menu at Tara Thai (listed as Ban Seo).
