Burrata

I'm looking for the best and freshest burrata in Manhattan, preferably downtown, but willing to travel. Also, does anyone know of a restaurant that serves a pasta dish with burrata? thanks!

I've had the BuonItalia burrata and I agree - it's awesome!

          2. I have to recommend the amazingly delicious Burrata pizza at Keste, they serve it as the special on Thursday nights until it runs out, and it usually runs out on Friday or Saturday. I believe they have it imported from Italy. I've had it twice now, and it's simply divine...at $22 it's a bit pricey but it's very filling and covered in burrata, grape tomatoes, basil, and olive oil (no red sauce). Heaven on a plate!

            1. Some places to try.

              - DiPalo (Best Italian cheese store in NYC)
              - Obika Mozzarella Bar
              - Motorino: pizza with burrata, sausage and brocolli rabe.

Will have to think if I have seen pasta with burrata anywhere.

              1. Saxelby in Essex Market sometimes has burrata, but I've never bought it.

                1. You can pretty much always find it at Murray's Cheese Shop on Bleeker Street.

                  1. Gnocco in the East Village has a great Burrata appetizer. Super fresh burrata with cherry tomatoes and olive oil that you spread onto their bread. It's not a part of their menu but more often than not, its a special the waiter will tell you about before you order.

                      1. Esca is serving a delicious burrata appetizer topped with a very generous portion of American caviar. The saltiness of the caviar works well with the creaminess of the burrata. Plenty for 2 to share.
