Ciao Luigi in Flemington Closed

Ciao Luigi, which used to be Il Mulino, has closed but the space was immediately occupied by a new Italian restaurant called Vincenzo's Italian Restaurant. My understanding is that the restaurant has new owners and a new menu.

I always liked Il Mulino but had only one opportunity to eat at Ciao Luigi. It was fine - nothing special - but had to deal with the major disadvantage of a poor location. It's hidden away in Liberty Village, the shopping area that is very dark, and very quiet, in the evening. It will be interesting to see how Vincenzo's deals with this problem.

Had to laugh at the brochure put out by the new owners. They refer to the previous restaurant as Caio Lugi. Hmmm - I'm wondering just how Italian they are!

  1. We have been to Vincenzo's twice and were very pleased both times. On Sat there were six of us, each ordering different entrees ranging from pasta to salmon and assorted desserts. We all were delighted with our meals! Bonus, it is a byob facility :)
