Wat Thai festival for Song Kran this year?

Is the temple going to have any festivities this year? So sad they no longer have those booths every weekend...

Yes they do every year. it is April 10-11, 2010 from 9am-6pm on their poster but 8:30am-5:30pm on the schedule. See ya there!

I don't know if the temple is going to have a festival, but the Mango Lady from the temple is back at Cha Chaa Ti making and selling mango with sticky rice on weekends again. OMG it is so good!

You can still get some of the food. One papaya salad lady is in New King Seafood market, the other (with the grilled meats) has a stall in the back of the Fiesta Super Mall next to El Super on Sherman Way.

I've been to both of those markets on a weekend a few months ago and saw neither of them. How recent is your info? Was the papaya salad lady by that food vendor corner in the front, across from the cash registers?

My info on New King is several months old. My info on the La Fiesta Super Mall is two weeks old. It's a permanent food court storefront marked "CHINESE FOOD", but with the old standbys on the menu above the kitchen. It's next door to La Perla del Pacífico, which also deserves love and respect, and two doors down from Metro Balderas.
