Please critique my 4-day itinerary

I will be visiting New Orleans again in May (yea!). Here is my initial stab at a dining itinerary.

Friday lunch (late due to a 12:15 flight) - Restaurant August
Friday dinner - Brigtsen's (is this too much food for Friday? My husband and our dear friend will be playing poker on Saturday, so they won't enjoy the good eating my mom and I plan to do. I don't want them to miss out, but I don't want to make them sick, either. : )

Saturday lunch - Coquette
Saturday dinner - MiLa

Sunday brunch - Commander's Palace
Sunday dinner - Domenica or Mimi's in the Marigny

Monday lunch - Cochon

So what do you think? Please feel free to comment, critique or offer alternatives. Thanks in advance!

looks pretty good.. dont worry about August for lunch -- the $20 special is one of the best (and richest!) values anywhere. decompress at the bar w/ a Hemmingway prior and youre set.

Thanks! What's a Hemmingway (pardon my ignorance)?

Vodka, grapefruit juice, simple syrup. Stir. Pour. Enjoy.

I think your itinerary sounds "spot on"!

Thanks everyone! FYI, we are staying at the Place d'Armes Hotel. We will definitely put Green Goddess on the list.

Where are you staying? If the men are playing poker you must be staying near the casino. I would not go to August for lunch. Brigtsen's sounds great. Try a FQ place like the Green Goddess or The Bon Ton for a light lunch then have a big dinner around 8 at Brigtsens.

What's wrong with August for lunch? I've had many great lunches at August. And Bon Ton for a "light lunch"? I've never had a light lunch at Bon Ton. Not saying it can't be done, but I've never done it. Green Goddess is a good rec, tho.

Txgrl, choices look great to me. Nice variety. I think August and Brigtsen's in one day are fine, especially if, as littleman points out, you eat dinner around 8 or so.

August is fine for lunch although, I prefer the tasting menu w/wine pairing at dinner. Brigtsen's is good, Mimi's is better for late night snacks rather than dinner. I'm not impressed w/ Domenica. Go to Emeril's instead. You will probably be one of only a few dining at MiLa. Try all apps. at Cochon.

tho after a CP's brunch (heavy!) i think the lighter fare at Domenica is more palatable than another rich meal at Emeril's. but i think Domenica is really good (also holds a favorable review from most of the comments that ive read)... plus you can go to the Sazerac bar before or after and have some classic new orleans cocktails.
