We are getting married in my fiance's church in Norwich, live in Old Saybrook but guests (approx 35) will be coming in from Northern CT, southern NH and Boston area. Any recommendations for a restaurant that could accomodate us and has really good food? Will have 8 little ones, ages 1 thro9ugh 9, that we want to make sure are comfortable.
Plan B would be a good caterer and have everyone come back to the home.

I know that Heritage Trail Winery up in Lisbon will host weddings. I haven't been there for that but the lunch we had there was fantastic. http://www.heritagetrail.com/Heritage...

It's a bit pricy, but The Norwich Inn and Spa has very good food and can accommodate weddings of any size. Or you could try Modesto's, also in Norwich. Some of the restaurants in the casino do private parties, so you could contact them as well. Or there's Americus on the Wharf in Norwich, which has some mixed reviews, but I've only had good experiences there.

Not actually in Norwich, there's Abbey's Latern Hill Inn, in Ledyard. I'm not sure if this would be too far from Norwich for you, but I'm having my small wedding reception (exactly the same number of guests actually) at the Griswold Inn in Essex, they have very reasonable rates too. Or, if you're having the wedding when it will be nice out, you could rent the pavilion at Mohegan Park and bring in a caterer, it's a very nice spot, over looking the pond.

I was also thinking of Nu Nu's Bistro in Colchester, but their room may be too small for your group.

I know Olympic pizza has a room for events but I wouldn't say they have amazing food.

        I'll keep thinking.
