Report - Orlando: Thank you Chowhound

Once again, chowhound sent me to the perfect location.
If you follow twitter: I took picutres of the whole meal.
I am talking about: The Ravenous Pig.
The first nite, we arrived, I called and they were booked solid.
I asked availability for the next nite and was told that they were booked solid as well.
(always a good sign).
I was determined and on Saturday nite we took a risk and she said that the "first come first serve" section wasn't too bad. So off we went.
We scored as there was a cancellation and we got a table for two at 9 p.m. on a Saturday nite.
Service was efficient and friendly. Clearly our waiter liked his job. I asked if the patrons were local or tourists and he replied "local and some are very very regular". (also a good sign).
We had the gruyere biscuits with smoked sea salt, and truffle fries while we sipped beers we selected (all from microbreweries).
Then we had a salad called the Gathering...which was a hit. Just the right amount of crunch, acidity and flavor.
Then we split a ceviche made of cured tile fish with a cucumber sorbet, avocado, mint, cilantro...and I was in heaven.Someone in the kitchen knows what they are doing!!
Then we split a halibut with pureed celery root, and fennel..that looked as gorgeous as it tasted.
No dessert: No room.
It was an outstanding meal and now I know why its mentioned on chowhound over and over again.
Second Meal: Oceanaire.
A tourist - business - restaurant. Service was amazing. Food was OK..nothing spectacular.
My husbands salad (tomoto and red onion) was just that. We were a bit surprised.
We split a macademia crusted sea bass that I enjoyed very much.
The cheese cake - was creamy, fluffy and a perfect was to end the meal.
Third Meal: Tapas Tu Tu
A fun place indeed. Belly Dancers, Flamenco Dancers....every hour, paraded thru the aisles.
Sangria hit the spot. The decor is eclectic and its very casual.
I swear soon as we ordered, no more than 10 minutes later, our food arrived.
The pumpkin pizza was indeed "different" - but cant say that anything was outstanding.
Our waitress was lovely and the ktichen was beyond efficient but not sure if I would return for the food.
That sums up our trip.
Thank you local chowhounds for the recomendations!!
That matches up with my experience at Ravenous Pig on Friday. For starters, rabbit terrine, shrimp and grits, quail, mussels, and the Gatherer salad were all outstanding. I had the lamb as an entree, which was great, and my wife had the halibut, which we both liked as much as you did. We did make it to dessert and had the goat cheese cheesecake with strawberry sorbet, the bread pudding, a torte, and a selection of sorbets. All of the desserts were excellent. I wish it were possible to purchase the coconut-lime sorbet. It's certainly the best sorbet I have ever tasted and one of the best ice creams. We also didn't have a reservation but were easily accommodated in the bar area.
