New Uncle Fatih's Pizza

I've always complained about the lack of good pizza in Vancouver in general, and in my neighbourhood in Kits specifically. I stumbled across Uncle Fatih's at Broadway and Commercial one day and found the slices good. I noticed today that a new Uncle Fatih's will be opening at Broadway and Macdonald.

On that note, (and I know there are a few pizza threads already) are there any other decent pizza places in Vancouver?

Well spotted, amelie! I am now trying to figure out where exactly -- will scout when I am out doing my Parthenon/New Apple rounds this afty.

Aside: I have been reading the name of this place as Uncle Faith's all along...

It's the old bakery place on Broadway @ MacDonald south side of the street-across the road from Safeway.

Thanks Sam. I walked right by it today and all I saw was paper on the windows but I am looking forward to some decent 'za in the 'hood :-).

I'm pretty picky on pizza, growing up just outside of NYC. I just tried Firewood Cafe this weekened. Other than some suspect pepperoni (too close to bologna, bizarrely), the crust was really very good. Excellent wood-burning oven thin crust. Fun collection of toppings.

      3. any idea on when it's going to open up?

I've read the potato pizza is good at the other outposts. Any other recs for toppings? Also, are they only good for slices or are the whole pies worth trying?
