So Restaurant Closed?
I'm flying to San Francisco this week and will be staying with my daughter in the Sunset District. She mentioned a restaurant she's heard about called "So". Chinese/Korean I think...... on Irving. A quick check of the resto section says it's closed.
Would someone please verify that for me?
If it is closed, could you recommend something like it in the Sunset/Panhandle area? One issue is a place where only two people could enjoy a few good and reasonable dishes.
Thanks.

SO reopened in SOMA. The address is 1010 Bryant Street. They don't have a website but a Facebook fan page instead.

San Tung is run by relatives of the So people and is in the Sunset area. It is not a personal favorite, but it is very popular and very similar to So. Yummy yummy next door is pretty good Chinese-Vietnamese. Koo is more expensive Japanese. Cheaper Japanese places are Sozai (izakaya), Ebisu (sushi), Hotei (noodles). Further out, King of Noodle has northern Chinese dumplings and noodles. Lime Tree has cheap Singapore/Malaysian type plates.
