Any suggestions of what's open and would be a good fit for Easter Dinner on 30A or near SanDestin? thanks!

  1. I have not been to Destin in a while. Old favorites are what I usually stick to, so try Harbor Docks or Bud & Allies. Both have been around forever and have always been good. If you are feeling hoity-toity try Fish Out Of Water at the Watercolor resort. I went a few years ago right when it opened, and it remains the only restaurant in the 850 area code that ever had the temerity to serve me and amuse bouche.

Report on Harbor Docks is that it's really slipped in the last year or two.

I want to say Cafe Provence closed last fall and the property is now 'Louis, Louis' and run by the Red Bar crowd. (so tasty but casual to the extreme) If anyone's looking for French cuisine, Bay Cafe in downtown FWB is still an option.

I'd probably go for Commander's Palace. It's as close as you'll get to old school 'real' fine dining in the area.

    2. Cafe Provence, Finz, Commander's Palace, all good picks.
