Lobster in Mystic area?

We will be in the Mystic area for one night soon to visit Conn College, and as Californians would love to find good NE lobster. Abbott's doesn't open for the season until May. Are there any other places where we can get good lobster for dinner (we're only there in the evening) in the Mystic area? Thanks!

Capt. Scott's Lobster Dock opens March 25th. http://captscotts.com/ The setting is not as scenic as Abbott's but it is closer to Conn College and the food is as good or better. BTW I graduated from Conn in 1993 if you have any questions for an old alumnus.

Thanks-- it sounds great! Conn sounds like a wonderful place-- it's high on my daughter's list. I presume you're a happy alum?

A good place for lobster, fried clams, scallops, etc is Cove Clam Shack. Cove has no water view like Abbotts or Capitain Scott's but is not far from Sea Swirl and does a nice job on everything. They have outdoor and indoor seating and are open year round.
