BBQing Boneless Chicken Thighs

Everytime I buy them I land up cleaning and trimming them till they are cut apart into small pieces, etc. If they are bbq'd will all that fat just burn off? Am I wasting my time? They are already boned and trimmed but just not to my liking.

Thanks!

They're pretty neat little packages, IME. Only thing I ever remove are very large globs of fat. The rest tends to cook off and they end up very crisp skinned on the grill. I can't figure out what you're going after that requires any cutting up?

I would leave some of the fat, for flavor. I clean them up if there is a lot of fat. Also sometimes I've found bone and cartlidge attached. Not sure what you're doing that you end up with pieces?? I trim them and clean, but when its laid out its all still attached.
Perhaps the thighs are very small, and that's it. Me, well I think its a good idea to continue to clean them up. I love to make a mix of soy sauce, scallions, fresh garlic, hot chili sauce, honey, and sometimes a little sesame oil. Let them marinate, then bbq. YUM!

They aren't all in pieces. There is always this one little section on them. I just find that it takes me a long time to really clean them up. I would be hard for me not to. I was just curious if it burns off. This way I don't have to go crazy.
