AFTERNOON TEA IN DETROIT? COMING FROM DETROIT AIRPORT TO LANSING

  • 7

Hi! In May, my friends and I are arriving in Detroit Metro DTW and planning to drive to Lansing. Anyone have any suggestions for a nice place for afternoon tea?

This should be really handy to get to on your way to Lansing. Let me know if you need directions. Always glad to have out-of-towners come to Plymouth. It's a nice little community.

        Hi,

Just wanted to let you know we checked out Sweet Afton last Thursday. It was fabulous, fabulous. Loved the area, loved the blueberry lemon scones. We sang the place's praise when we got to our reunion in Lansing and plan on definitely returning when we're by Detroit.

Thank you for the perfect recommendation. You made our trip memorable!

Just wanted to say THANK YOU for the recommendation! Last year we went, went back two more times and gushed to a few others. We're planning to go back in May when we're in town again. Thank you for the tip!!!!

        2. Victorian Tea Room on 12 Mile in Berkley...just 5 minutes from the freeway. If you really want to upscale it, high tea at theTownsend Hotel in Birmingham.

Funny you mentioned Townsend. I tried to call for a reservation then but no...:( they were booked for the time we were there.
