Another question about Chinese Banquet!

For my upcoming 30th birthday, I want to have a Chinese restaurant cater a dinner at my house in Pasadena. Unlike hound, jcorngold I don't want a meal based just on seafood, but rather a mix (i.e. whole fish, noodles, peking duck, buns, veggies, etc). We are most interested in Shanghainese, but if the best option is a different cuisine we're open to anything. Most important is delicious, beautiful, and authentic. Suggestions greatly appreciated!

Don't know of a Chinese caterer, but you can customize a banquet menu at any Chinese restaurant. There are set banquet menus, but you're free to modify them and negotiate the change in price. You might want to call Yang Chow in Pasadena.

Thanks! I think we're looking for a restaurant in San Gabriel/Alhambra/etc. Maybe something a bit more authentic. I've spent some time in Shanghai and I'm looking to recreate that experience. Any thoughts anyone?

Duck House will do it for you.
