Happy hour with outdoor seating

What better way to spend a warm Friday afternoon than sittitng outdoors sipping a drink, maybe having a bite, watching the city stroll by? Can anyone recommed a place to do this? I've thought of Shake Shack, or even one of the restaurants on the west side of Union Square, but these places don't actually have a happy hour as far as I know. I thought of sitting by the window at RUB, but that's not actually outdoors.

Any thoughts?

Good choice! If you do it again, and you really did not give us geographical constraints, think Stone street (the street, not the eponymous restaurant) in lower Manhattan: about 12 options with outdoor tables. You can sip and watch the Wall St. world go by. Also, at the same end of the isle, Battery (Park) Gardens. Nothing to recommed it but one of the best views on the planet.

I will definitely give downtown a try the next chance I get. I work in Chelsea so Madison Square Park was the easiest thing, but sitting downtown watching the financial world go by might be interesting.

try adriennes pizza bar, 54 stone street...outstanding thin crust square pizza. great place to people watch. the outdoor benches arent the most comfortable but the food and people watching is great.

Opting for Shake Shack. Can't beat the park on a day like this.
