Etxebarri reservations?

I'm not sure how hard it is to get weekday lunch reservations at Asador Etxebarri. I'm looking to go in just under two months, so I filled out the form on their website a few days ago and am awaiting a response. For the folks who have been there before, do I have any shot at getting this reservation? I'm trying to figure out if I need to line up some suitable alternatives, as disappointing as it would be if I could not get a reservation at Etxebarri.

    1. I used their website to contact them a few weeks ago. It took several days for them to reply, but they did. I was too early as they reserve 6 months out and I was a little outside the window. But they did answer me.

        1. Etxebarri is terrific and worth it but it is not like reservation for El Bulli. For weekday lunch, you should have no problem if you've sent your request. I would telephone them if you don't get a response soon. I had a weekday lunch there two years ago in October and got a reservation couple weeks ahead.

            1. You should have no problem. We just had lunch there today as first timers, so I wasn't sure how the reservation process worked either. On 2/21, I sent an email to request a reservation and I did not receive a reply for a couple of days. So, I then sent another request via the website. That day, I received responses on both, and emailed with Lennox to pick just one day. We had no problem obtaining our Friday, 1:30 reservation. As a matter of fact, the dining room we were in (the front room, facing the square) had only 4 tables occupied while 3 or 4 sat empty. Perhaps by design?

                1. I was just being an impatient American -- Etxebarri just sent me an email with my reservation details. Can't wait to go...

We also just got a response. Took only a couple of days. Can't wait!
