Wedding Caterer?

littlecmad Mar 18, 2010 08:36 PM

Hi All,

I am looking for a Wedding Caterer for between $50-$75 a person in the Philadelphia Area. The event would be in the NE suburbs, and IF possible makes organic/local meals?

Hickory House catering menu's start at $19.50 a person + Labor costs (for the main menus) but i've worked with them before with budget and they always find a way to make it work. THey don't just do BBQ they can do anything, just ask.

We used Culinary Design in Glenside: http://www.culinarydesignassociates.com/
Extensive menu (not sure about local or organic), very flexible and easy to work with, and the food was delicious. We received many compliments from guests. We supplied our own alcohol. Can't remember $/person but wasn't too expensive.

Ken Correll at Diverse Catering did a great job for us last year. He worked well with our financial limits and provided great food, including some vegan dishes. He ws helpful, timely and a pleasure to work with throughout the process. http://www.diversecatering.com/

$50-75 is going to be tough for a wedding. How about DiBrunos?

If you want really good quality, try Jeffrey Miller. I must admit I paid $95, but that's because I added hors d'oeuvres and went for the high end. But I felt I got every penny's worth. I had some French family over for the wedding, and I wanted to save face. Jeffrey was my man.

Best of luck in your search, however you end up.

Unless Jeffrey Miller has dropped its prices significantly, it won't come close to this person's budget. I spent more with them 5 years ago and I didn't have a lot of add ons.
