Can I make 7-minute frosting in a stand mixer?
I don't have a hand mixer. I want to make 7-minute frosting, specifically this recipe http://www.epicurious.com/recipes/foo... in my stand mixer.
My idea was to take off on the Cook's Illustrated method for buttercream: whisk the ingredients in the mixer bowl over a double boiler until the temperature comes up to 160, then whisk it on the mixer. It seems like it will work.
