We're new to Chaska and are looking for recommendations on any good Restaurants/Bars, specifically within the city limits.

Judging by their walleye sandwich offering that I had there the Pine Street Grill is above average for a restaurant/bar/grill type place.

Pine Street Grille has been closed for years. Tommy's Malt Shop (downtown First St. W) is great (think Snuffy's if you've been there). Cuzzy's Brick House just opened on Chaska Boulevard (near Lenzen's Chevrolet) but they have popular restaurants in Victoria and Minneapolis. If you're in the mood for authentic Mexican - be brave - and try Chaska My Love across from City Hall (Fourth St. W).

Chaskaherald - have you tried the Brick House? I was at the liquor store next door last week and saw it was still under construction.

As for Tommy's - I have had their ice cream but nothing else. How are the burgers/sandwiches?

Curious to hear your opinion since I live less than a mile away from both places. By the way, I used to work with the guy who opened Tommy's :)

Haven't been to Cuzzy's yet - trying to give it some time to be "open" first. I hear from many that it has been packed since it's opening last week.

Tommy's food is basic and good. The menu is small but they have a nice variety of burgers and sandwiches. If you've been to and enjoyed Snuffy's, you probably won't be disappointed with Tommy's. I'm not a big sweet potato fry fan, but those that are, have raved about the ones at Tommy's.

Pine Street Grill didn't last long. I was there in September 2006 and I see you reported it closed in December 2006. It was crowded the day I was there. Did anything take over that space?

I'm familiar with Victoria House in Victoria. I'll have to check out Cuzzy's Brick House.

Chaska My Love is very good.

Cy's Bar and Grill moved into the Pine Street Grille space. Decent appetizers for bar food.

soupkitten - I'm assuming you are talking about the Indian restaurant that was in downtown Chaska. Unfortunately this closed. Tommy's malt shop is now in that space and seems to be doing better than the Indian restaurant did.

            Welcome to Chaska!

I'll second everyone else's recommendations on Tommy's and Chaska My Love. And I'll add HeartBreakers Bar & Grill up by Rainbow on 41/Pioneer trail. Pretty decent bar type food and I think their pizza is really good.

If you feel like venturing just outside of Chaska (15 min drive or less), I'd recommend the following places:
El Toro (bar and restaurant) or Taco Loco 2 (just a restaurant) - Shakopee
Harvey's (for the food) and Lisa's (for the bar) - Carver
            Lola's Lakehouse(bar and restaurant) - Waconia

If you want less than a 15 minute drive away, Excelsior has a lot of places. There is Jake O'Connor's Public House, Maynard's, Biella Ristorante, 318 Cafe, Adele's, Haskell's Port of Excelsior, Yumi's Waterfront Cafe & Sushie Bar, St. Alban's Boathouse, Bayside Grille, Joey Nova's, Hazellewood Grill & Tap Room, Hilltop Family Restaurant, Ming Wok, Happy Garden II and, of course, a McDonalds. ;)
